This Super stock crankcases are made of 100% aluminum crankcases like that in type 4 engines were used. The first thing to notice is the weight gain compared with an original crankcase. This much stronger aluminum must ensure that the bearing seats not eventuate. Test Bench tests under extreme conditions have proven that this is indeed so. Especially for the engine tuners among us the perfect solution to start with a sump which no revision work needs to undergo will retain their original sizes. Crankcase The crankcase is the so-called universal type, meaning that it is for type 1 and type 3 engines. Suitable both The cover that the oil dipstick of a type 3 engine is sealed is included but is also available separately as a replacement part. The crankcase is made without the bare cylinder threaded rods of 8 mm, camshaft seal plug, oliedrukplunjers with springs and retaining bolts (see options) and big oil channels. There are two types of Super stock crankcases available, a standard stroke crankshaft of 69 mm and a crankshaft to a stroke of 82 mm. The latter version is not only the crankcase inside made for the longer stroke (small sump modifications may still be necessary) but is also the main oil passage open drilled and threaded so that it can be an oil filter mounted after the pump (full flow) and possibly an additional oil cooler. It is also on the flywheel side crankcase extra reinforced. These sumps than 82 mm can be used for a greater stroke but then adjusting the crankcase is necessary. Note: There are a few details that need to be adapted to this carters it is sometimes necessary to the space around the ontstekingsasje to fit differently anything else to the start-up and when using a sharper camshaft it is possible that there is some material of the oil pump has to be removed. Additionally, a small piece of sheet metal to be cut to fit well behind the pulley. Suitable for: type 1 engines (except 25 and 30 hp) type 3 engines
