With extreme lowering, there are many challenges that need to be solved, especially if a fast engine is also installed in the vehicle.
A fast engine requires an adapted exhaust system, which is not easy with an extremely lowered Bus and certainly not if you want to keep the exhaust system out of sight.
This "Extreme Lowered" exhaust is specially designed for type 1 engines mounted in a Splitbus. There is no other exhaust system with more ground clearance that is suitable for both an original and a tuned engine.
The complete exhaust is made of stainless steel and constructed in such a way that it practically disappears from sight. If you take the trouble to look under the bus, the power tube nicely polished. In addition to these advantages, this exhaust has even more remarkable features, which no other exhaust system in this class has :
- the flanges are 4 mm adjustable per side, making it suitable for all Type 1 engines
- equipped with a sport damper that is suitable up to an engine power of 125 HP
- 100% made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
- equipped with a fiberglass sheath around the exhaust pipes (protects the stove hoses)
- fits perfectly with the original stove pots
- no carburetor preheating (which is available as an extra option)
Supplied complete with gaskets and mounting material. It is also necessary to connect the stove hose directly to the stove pot, only use aluminum hoses for this, the original paper hose is not able to withstand the heat of the exhaust pipes it runs along.
